The house stood there depleted yet strong
With memories foregone yet guarded

The windows with a magical aura
In a perfect assortment
In a perfect alignment

The rails red and white
With tales of dread and plight

The walls blue and white
With tales of dew and kite

The insides with a surprisingly bright hollow
Whispering tales of laughter and love
That withstood the dreads and plights
With a spirit so strong that
The winds never shook them
The rains never soaked them

The steps with cracked edges
That echoes the chatter of whimsical tots
Whose tiny feets scurried up and down
With the naughtiest grins and gales

The house whispered too many tales
To those who stopped by to listen and fathom!
