She was unwanted
Unwanted because she loved too much
Too much that the love became a nuisance
Unwanted because she cared too much
Too much that the care became a burden

The lips that murmured that it loved her more
Shouted out loud that it hated her more
The lips that whispered that she was special
Screamed out loud that she didn’t matter

She picked her broken pieces scattered all around
And gathered up the courage to ask once more
It hurts, it pains, it makes me weep
Don’t you care about that?
She shut her eyes as tears poured down
For she knew what the answer will be
But she hoped in vain the answer will change this time
But her hopes were always unworthy and unreasonable
The answer remained the same, not a word out of place
” No, I don’t and never care”
She laughed hysterically at her own folly
As she gagged her screams inside her bursting heart
That once again scattered into uncountable pieces
Pieces too tiny that she couldn’t retrieve it
Pieces too sharp that it pricked and bled
